The 2015 edition of Leonard Maltin’s Movie Guide, which was released this week, marks the end of the line for this indispensible volume. We’re happy to note that while this particularly book’s 45-year run comes to close, the author will continue his spinoff book, Leonard Maltin’s Classic Movie Guide, with a new edition next year.

In the meantime, one last time, we’ll give our highest recommendation to this concise description of so many wonderful (and not-so-wonderful) movies. It is as it always was, a superb reference, and a surefire conversation starter among fellow film fans.
