Heritage’s weekly auctions are led by the first issue of MAD, a J.G. Jones cover, and ColecoVision games. The Comic Books Select Auction ends on Sunday through Tuesday, February 2-4, 2025, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction concludes on Tuesday, February 4, and the Comic Art & Illustration Auction closes on Wednesday, February 5.

EC starts things off in the comic auction with MAD #1 CGC 3.5, the first issue of the parody book with “Humor in a Jugular Vein.” The Amazing Spider-Man #39 CGC 6.5 marks John Romita Sr.’s first issue on the title and reveals Green Goblin’s identity as Norman Osborn.

The art auction is led by J.G. Jones’ 52 #17 cover of Lobo smoking his cigar while surrounded by Superman’s cape, Batman’s cowl, and Wonder Woman’s weapons. Paul Ryan and Danny Bulanadi’s Fantastic Four #378 story page 15 showing the Avengers in their leather jacket over spandex uniforms of the time.

The video game auction features a high grade copy of Destructor CGC 9.6 for ColecoVision’s Expansion Module No. 2 driving controller. Heritage also has a Threshold CGC 8.0 for ColecoVision, featuring the fixed screen shooter gaming experience.
