Part of the story set in the 1970s is drawn in very earthen shades of tan and green set with a sturdy farm house and an eerie being that’s clearly up to no good. The other part of the story is a shocking transition to the world of modern day high school and smart phones. Despite these visual polar opposites, the story connects well through Patricia Briggs’ writing and Tom Garcia’s art.
