Mine is a Long Lonesome Grave #3
Oni; $4.99
After years in prison, Harley Creed returned to his hometown in West Virginia to make peace with his estranged daughter, Maybelle, and then he was going to move on. Instead, the Black Bone Curse was put on him and he has seven days to live – unless he finds the one who cursed him and kills them first.
Harley believes the culprit is Granny Weaver, the elderly matriarch of the Weaver boys gang of criminals that run the area. He has gone on a John Wick style tour of violence, killing many in the Weaver gang and has come face to face with Zeke and his guards, who are protecting Granny.
This issue written by Justin Jordan, illustrated by Maan House, and colored by Alessandro Santoro is one brutal battle between Harley and the Weaver boys. If the bloody fighting wasn’t intense enough, the spirits that have been haunting and taunting Harley make their ethereal presence known. They hang over the conflict in a creepy, menacing way that makes the scene even more unsettling.
This penultimate issue ends with a surprise for Harley that could change everything he thought about the curse.
