Lone Star Comics got their start as a tiny mail order business run by then teenager, Buddy Sanders. He started collecting comics in 1960, and by 1961 had made his first sale with a mint Fantastic Four #1 for 25¢.
Slowly Sanders’ business grew until in 1977 he opened his first retail store in Arlington, Texas. In 1996 the company joined the World Wide Web and have been connecting people with their favorite comics ever since.
