As we inch ever closer to Halloween, supernatural stories like Over the Garden Wall become that more seasonally relevant. This issue continues the story of Wirt and Greg as they seek the hero-frog, though they of course get up to mischief along the way; the brothers also end up practicing some horse dentistry and meet some dreamscape advisers. However, their recollection of events is strangely very different.

Over the Garden Wall continues to be a highly enjoyable comic series – though it’s probably best enjoyed after watching the animated miniseries, as it would be rather difficult to understand what’s going on otherwise. The comic perfectly captures the feel of the cartoon in both writing and artwork, continuing the overall spooky atmosphere in its quirky way.
