Peter & M.J.’s Wedding, Batman #498 Art in Heritage Auctions

Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson’s wedding, an emotional Batman page, and a Super Mario World collectible are offered in Heritage’s weekly auctions. The Comic Books Auction ends on Sunday through Tuesday, August 18-20, 2024, the Video Games Mini-Boss Auction closes on Tuesday, August 20, and the Comic Art & Animation Auction wraps up on Wednesday, August 21.

The comic auction begins with Batman #22 CGC 6.0, kicking off the solo adventures of Alfred Pennyworth with a classic Dick Sprang cover of the butler in a Sherlock Holmes style outfit. Things get romantic with The Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21 CGC 9.8 (newsstand edition) featuring the wedding of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson.

The original art auction is led by Jim Aparo and Rick Burchett’s Batman #498 story page 6 showing Alfred and Tim Drake tending to an injured Bruce Wayne moments after Bane broke Batman’s back. Olivier Coipel and Danny Miki’s Avengers #503 story page 6 is the moment that Scarlet Witch demands that Agatha Harkness tell her why people think she has children.

In the video game auction, Heritage is offering a Super Mario World Super Mario Bros. 4 Super Famicom hard storage case that was made to carry the Super Famicom games. They are also selling Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen CGC 9.8 NS unopened for Super Famicom Quest, featuring real time strategy elements in a traditional RPG structure.
