Planet of the Apes #3

Marvel Comics; $4.99
As the ALZ-113 virus continues to wipe out the human race, some survivors turn to the Exercitus Viri movement, a group that wrongly believes the plague is spread by apes. Now well armed and bitterly determined, this rag tag army has targeted every ape and any human protecting them. This includes the former cruise liner carrying Juliana and one thousand apes from the International Simian Research Center in Ghana who are traveling to the CDC in the U.S., and it’s a tremendous set-up for deadly things to come.
Beautiful art, good dialogue, and solid characters. The action is a bit too decompressed and reads too much like one chapter of many, but it’s otherwise an entertaining installment.
