The mysteries of the deep become the horrors of the surface in Sea of Sorrows #4. Life on the ship has been tense since the voyage began, but as things continue to go wrong and crewman disappear or act erratically, the tenuous alliance becomes the least of their problems.

Rich Douek wrote Sea of Sorrows as a slow burn for the first three issues, but that changes dramatically in this penultimate issue. The intensity picks up with the pace as an abundance of threats overwhelm the ship.

The art in the series has been dark and rough, keeping with the tone of the story. In this issue Alex Cormack provides some truly horrifying visuals and depicts the characters emotions from lunacy to terror with great detail.
