The isolation of the open sea has found a target in Sea of Sorrows. The crew have devolved into lunacy and pandemonium, tearing each other apart as one of the seriously most horrific sea monsters imaginable lords over their feverish attacks. As the situation continues to deteriorate the captain realizes why they were pulled to the spot. But will this be enough to save those still alive?
Sea of Sorrows by Rich Douek and artist Alex Cormack started off like a grim post-war/men at sea drama and turned into a gory, twisted horror story. The first few issues laid the groundwork for what was to come with a few frightening panels that built suspense for what was to come. It had a rough look and rough characters, which worked well for the setting and to disguise the horrors in store.
