Steven and his three guardians, the Crystal Gems, face a special kind of threat in this latest issue: Pearl’s sickness. Steven and Garnet take on the source of her sneezing, and they do it literally inside her head. The issue not only contains the main story, but also has two short stories: “Lion’s Share” and “King Hotdog.”

The main storyline is wonderful, but the short stories stand out as well. “Lion’s Share” sees Pearl dealing with the frustrations of living with an oversized feline companion, while “King Hotdog” features Amethyst taking on a hot dog-eating contest. Fans of the Cartoon Network show will find lots to love in this series.
