As The Crow movie celebrates its 30th anniversary, it is getting a 4K Ultra HD physical release. It will be available in standard and limited edition SteelBook variations. At present, the special features and any collectibles sold with the 4K release have not been announced.

The movie is based on James O’Barr’s dark, supernatural vigilante comic about one man’s quest for vengeance after he and his fiancée are brutally killed. Though Eric Draven is murdered in the horrific event, he is resurrected by a supernatural crow to hunt down the guilty. The comic was released 35 years ago, and a film adaptation followed five years later in 1994.

The Crow stars Brandon Lee, the son of martial artists icon and actor Bruce Lee, in the role of Eric Draven. The movie was poised to be Lee’s breakout role, but he tragically died in an on-set shooting accident, only days before filming wrapped.

The movie was a sleeper hit at the box office, and three sequels followed, starting with The Crow: City of Angels in 1996, The Crow: Salvation in 2000, and The Crow: Wicked Prayer in 2005. It star Bill Skarsgård is playing Eric Draven in a new film adaptation, which is scheduled for theatrical release some time in 2024.

The Crow 4k Ultra HD will arrive on May 7, 2024.
