The Tokyo Ghoul manga series, written and illustrated by Sui Ishida, is set in an alternate Japan where humans co-exist with ghouls that eat human flesh. It follows college student Ken Kaneki who encounters a ghoul and must learn how to navigate his new life after becoming half-ghoul.

The manga was adapted as a 12-episode anime ten years ago in 2014. The second season, titled Tokyo Ghoul √A, aired in 2015, then the Tokyo Ghoul:re anime adaptation followed in 2018 with a two-season run.

Now, every episode of Tokyo Ghoul, Tokyo Ghoul √A, and Tokyo Ghoul:re have been collected in one 10th anniversary Blu-ray box set. The box art featuring Kaneki and references to the opening song “Unravel” was commissioned from Pierrot, the animation studio behind the anime.

The Tokyo Ghoul 10th Anniversary box set special features include textless opening and ending songs, “Kaneki in Black and White” featurette with the English dub cast and crew, commercials, promo videos, trailers, Tokyo Ghoul:re cast and crew answering tweets, and Tokyo Ghoul: Jack and Pinto original video animation.

It also contains audio and video commentaries for select episodes, featuring Austin Tindle, Brina Palencia, J. Michael Tatum, Mike McFarland, Monica Rial, Christopher R. Sabat, Brandon Potter, Todd Haberkorn, Maxy Whitehead, Lindsey Sydel, Cliff Chapin, Adam Gibbs, Mikaela Krantz, Caitlin Glass, Philip Weber, and Dave Trosko.

The Tokyo Ghoul Blu-ray set will be released on December 31, 2024.
