We Only Find Them When They’re Dead returns with a new story arc in issue 6. In 2414, it’s been 50 years since Captain Malik and his crew on Vihaan II searched for a living god. The revelation of their journey has disrupted the status quo, pitting the Harvesters against the Worshippers, and Jason Hauer, one of the Vihaan II’s surviving crew members is caught between them.
This new arc introduces Ambassador Marilyn Chen who, like Georges Malik, has a radical idea. The first story featured the dichotomy between the powerful corporations and the struggling workers. For this one, writer Al Ewing is introducing a new conflict for those who want to continue harvesting the dead gods and the ones who believe them worthy of worship.
The art by Simone Di Meo and color assists by Mariasara Miotti continue to be intriguing as well. Characters are detailed with the backgrounds in softer focus and the color choices give it a unique flair.
