It’s a great twist on an old standard: “Beware the creatures of the night—They have lawyers!” For writer-artist Batton Lash’s Alanna Wolff & Jeff Byrd, Counselors of the Macabre, the notion of defending a zombie wife who sought revenge on the husband who killed her might very well be just another day at the office.

For us as readers, though, it’s the beginning of another wonderful excursion into humorous weirdness with Lash’s legal duo and their vast array of interesting clients. This 160-page, full color trade paperback was a Kickstarter-funded project. It includes seven stories and even if you’ve never read any of the other Supernatural Law stories it’s not only highly accessible, it’s a superb read. Very enjoyable!
